Shangri-La-La

Shangri-La-La is a fast, funny, irreverent comedy musical about two immigrants who reinvented themselves, transformed Las Vegas, and built a rhinestone empire of magic, ambition, and white tigers.

Follow the fictional version following Siegfried's boy at Steve Wynn's Mirage, where they become the dazzling centerpiece of a new, family-friendly era on the Strip. As Las Vegas traded topless revues for tigers, sequins, and spectacle on an epic scale, the pair became global icons — and one of the city's greatest illusions.

Visually playful and sharply comic, Shangri-La-La captures the moment Las Vegas remade itself, and two ambitious performers remade themselves along with it. The full-length version draws in part on a real-life lawsuit involving the show's creator, using courtroom satire to explore what happens when private conflict collides with celebrity, mythology, institutional power, and the carefully manufactured illusions of Las Vegas.
