SHANGRI-LA-LA-LA™ is a comedy entertainment series created by Mike Meier about immigrant reinvention, celebrity mythology, Las Vegas spectacle, and the fragile line between illusion and truth.
Inspired in part by Meier’s real-life experiences involving legendary Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried & Roy, the series enters a world of white tigers, rhinestones, ambition, and carefully manufactured identities. Through sharp musical comedy, it explores how performers create larger-than-life personas—and what happens when private conflict, institutional power, and public myth collide behind the curtain.
The full-length stage musical follows that story beyond the glittering rise of Siegfried & Roy into a courtroom battle inspired by a real-life lawsuit. The lawsuit is one chapter in a broader satire about fame, loyalty, exploitation, accountability, and a city built on selling dreams. The tone is theatrical, irreverent, and visually playful, with original songs, backstage intrigue, courtroom absurdity, and a devil’s messenger who may not be quite as sinister as he first appears.
