SHANGRI-LA-LA-LA™ is a comedy entertainment series created by Mike Meier, built around a true-life collision of Las Vegas spectacle, celebrity illusion, courtroom combat, and musical revenge. The project is not limited to a single stage work; it is an expanding entertainment property that includes a full two-hour comedy musical, an abbreviated one-hour festival version, a screenplay adaptation, and live or recorded performances of the original songs from the musical.
At the center of SHANGRI-LA-LA-LA™ is a satirical story inspired by Mike Meier’s real-life legal battle involving Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried & Roy. The series uses musical comedy to explore fame, power, silence, show-business mythology, and the machinery of illusion behind the glittering Las Vegas façade. Its tone is sharp, theatrical, and comic: a revenge musical with songs, spectacle, courtroom absurdity, and a devil’s messenger who may not be quite as bad as he first appears.
The SHANGRI-LA-LA-LA™ series currently includes multiple creative works and performance formats: the full-length stage musical, a streamlined one-hour version designed for theater festivals and showcases, a screenplay version adapted for the screen, and separate performances of songs from the musical.
