Do you crave bold musicals, backstage intrigue, larger-than-life personalities, and enough sequins to light up the Las Vegas Strip?
Then welcome to SHANGRI-LA-LA — a fast, funny comedy musical about two immigrants who reinvented themselves, transformed Las Vegas, and built a rhinestone empire of magic, ambition, and white tigers.
Set at the height of the Mirage era, the musical explores fame, illusion, loyalty, and the relentless drive to become larger than life. Beneath the glittering spectacle lies a sharper question: what happens when the public myth and the private reality no longer match?
Through satire, original songs, and theatrical absurdity, SHANGRI-LA-LA examines celebrity power, institutional loyalty, and a city built on carefully manufactured illusion.

"Harass that Ass" from the comedy musical Shangri-La-La-La. This is an AI video, but the music is not. The music was recorded on real instruments with real human singers.
Shangri-La-La is a fast, funny comedy musical about two immigrants who reinvented themselves, transformed Las Vegas, and built a rhinestone empire of magic, ambition, and white tigers.
Inspired by true events, the show explores the making of Siegfried & Roy’s legendary public image—and the machinery of glamour, power, loyalty, and illusion behind the spotlight. The full-length version also draws in part on a real-life lawsuit, using courtroom satire to examine what happens when private conflict collides with celebrity mythology.
In July 2026, Shangri-La-La will reach New York audiences through:
Rogue Theater Festival, Digital Edition — July 2026
Midtown International Theatre Festival — July 25 and 26, 2026
These performances offer an important opportunity to introduce the musical to theatergoers, producers, industry professionals, and supporters who can help move it toward a longer New York run.
But bringing an independent production to New York is expensive. Your donation will help cover rehearsal costs, festival fees, technical requirements, marketing, travel, production materials, and support for the cast, crew, writers, and creative team bringing this ambitious musical to life.
As the show’s composer, writer, and director, I have devoted years of work and personal resources to Shangri-La-La. Now we need your help to give it the strongest possible New York debut.
Please donate today. Every contribution helps us bring the music, comedy, white tigers, and Las Vegas spectacle to the stage.
