Do you crave bold musicals, backstage scandal, and a plot juicier than a Shakespearean love triangle in fishnets?
Then clear your calendar for a comedy musical based on a true Las Vegas lawsuit against Siegfried & Roy — and the shocking cover-up that followed.
SHANGRI-LA-LA-LA
A fabulously satirical new comedy musical based on a real-life courtroom showdown in the neon-lit heart of Las Vegas.
The premise? A few immigrants sue Siegfried & Roy for misconduct behind the curtain—and discover that in Vegas, justice wears rhinestones and carries a grudge.
Think:
– Cabaret meets The People’s Court
– Chicago with tigers
– A Chorus Line, but the line is at the courthouse
Here is a short trailer for that musical: https://youtube.com/shorts/dzInsbcc2RE
Justice has never looked this jazzy.

Shangri-La-La is a daring comedy musical based on true events and a real court case—now heading to two New York City theater festivals. Behind the laughs is a look at the making of Siegfried & Roy’s stardom, the illusion machine of Las Vegas, the abuse, silence, and concealment that can hide behind glamour, and the hometown power structures that protect insiders.
Now the show has been accepted into two New York City theater festivals: Back Door to Broadway on April 19, 2026, and the Midtown International Theater Festival in July 2026. This is a major chance to push the show toward a longer New York run. But we need funding now to make the most of it. As the composer and co-writer, I have spent my last penny on this production. Your donation will help cover the costs of bringing Shangri-La-La to New York and putting it in front of the audiences and industry people who can help take it further.
Please donate today. Every dollar helps us bring Shangri-La-La to the stage and share our story with the world. Go to https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-us-launch-shangrilala-in-nyc
This campaign is by the creators and team behind Shangri-La-Lato support our upcoming New York City festival performances. We are raising money for the entire production and the many people who have helped bring this musical to life — including the cast, crew, writers, and others working behind the scenes. Your support helps all of us move this show forward and gives Shangri-La-Laits best chance to reach new audiences and grow beyond these festival appearances.
