Here is a glimpse of the story:
Joshua from Germany fulfills his lifelong dream of moving to Las Vegas. He is thrilled to get a job as the assistant to two retired Las Vegas celebrities, only to find out the hard way that not all that glitters is gold.
The story behind the musical ALL THAT GLITTERS is of the “can’t possibly be true”-type. Years ago, before #MeToo and before I knew about “Hometown Justice” in Las Vegas, I was the attorney for victims of abuse against two glittering Vegas celebrities. I was destroyed during the case, and the main plaintiff was driven out of the country. But I turned it around and wrote a Comedy Musical about the events … The trailer for the musical is here: https://youtu.be/HTJSOibgeQI
It is the story of Joshua who fulfills his lifelong dream of moving to Las Vegas. He is thrilled to get a job as the assistant to Siegfried & Roy, only to find out the hard way that not all that glitters is gold.
Little did I know about "Hometown Justice" in Las Vegas. Have you ever heard of the Hanging Judge, Roy Bean? Judge Isaac Parker? Those were some of the judges of the Wild West, and they did whatever they wanted. Las Vegas still follows that cherished tradition, called “Hometown Justice.” No wonder New York Mobster Bugsy Siegel built the first casino on the Las Vegas strip, The Flamingo.
